Directions
By Road:
Travel down the A30 until you reach the roundabout which signposts St Ives and Penzance. Choose the St Ives road, which will take you through Lelant and Carbis Bay and then down a long, downwards-sloping hill (Trelyon Avenue). At the bottom of this hill on the right is the Porthminster Hotel, where the road forks in two. The right-hand fork leads to the town centre and is not open to traffic in the summer months. Take the left-hand fork (a hill sloping upwards) and follow the signposts for the car park and leisure centre. Pass the car park and then turn right at the mini roundabout. You will then come to another mini roundabout at which you should turn left up Bullans Lane. At the top of this hill, turn right and then shortly afterwards the road bears left down Porthmeor Hill. You will find Tregowan at the bottom of the hill on the left-hand side.
By Sea:
If you are arriving via the cross-channel ferry from Plymouth, follow the signs for A38 Saltash, Liskeard and Cornwall. This will take you over the River Tamar and under the Saltash Tunnel. Continue on the A38 through Dobwalls towards Bodmin. Just prior to Bodmin, join the A30 and follow this past Redruth and Hayle. Then follow the route described above.
By Air:
The nearest airport (approximately 40 miles away and an hour’s drive) is Newquay, which is served by regular flights from Stansted, Gatwick and London City airport.
By Rail:
